About the Role

Ashbard Energy Company Limited, an indigenous engineering services leader established in 2004, is seeking a competent and dedicated Account Officer to join our finance team in Nigeria. With core expertise spanning oil and gas, power, procurement, and technical manpower services, we pride ourselves on delivering strategic solutions that optimize client operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization, ensuring seamless transaction processing, and supporting our overarching business goals within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate daily accounting records, managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable efficiently.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, statements, and regular account reconciliations.
  • Monitor paid and unpaid invoices closely while actively following up on outstanding receivables.
  • Assist the finance team with budgeting, forecasting, annual audits, and tax preparation processes.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all applicable financial regulations, statutory requirements, and internal company policies.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding all sensitive financial information and company records.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional accounting experience, preferably within the energy or engineering sector.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with modern accounting software packages.
  • Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA will be considered a significant added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
