About the Role
Samhays Limited, a trusted leader in the Automobile, Metals, and Wood Paint industries for over 40 years, is seeking a Finance and Accounting Team Lead. This strategic leadership role offers the opportunity to blend hands-on accounting expertise with team management and process innovation. You will oversee accounting operations across multiple business units, mentor junior and trainee accountants, and drive continuous improvements in financial accuracy and efficiency while maintaining our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage teams of trainee and junior accountants
- Prepare comprehensive budget forecasts and financial statements
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and closing documents
- Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements
- Compute taxes and prepare accurate tax returns in compliance with regulations
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Audit financial transactions and documents for accuracy and compliance
- Report on company financial health, liquidity, and cash flows
- Ensure timely payments and reinforce financial data confidentiality
- Delegate tasks effectively and develop team capabilities
- Minimum 4 years hands-on experience as an Accountant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant professional qualification
- Expert knowledge of accounting regulations, GAAP, and financial procedures
- Proven experience with accounting software and general ledgers
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong people management and team leadership skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities
- Computer literacy and ability to work independently
