About the Role

Max.ng is on a mission to fix Africa's notorious last-mile delivery and online-retail problems by using mobile and web platforms to connect consumers, retail businesses, and independent drivers in real-time. We are eliminating all logistics and technology barriers that have historically prevented retail businesses in Africa from realizing their full potential. We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Finance Analyst to join our dynamic finance team in Nigeria and help fuel our next phase of rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial data, business performance, and key financial metrics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management dashboards.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across various business units.
  • Conduct thorough variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and previous operational periods.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to evaluate business decisions and investment opportunities.
  • Monitor revenue, operational expenses, cash flow, and overall profitability.
  • Identify financial trends, risks, inefficiencies, and actionable opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Ensure absolute accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial data and reporting systems.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in large-volume accounts payable or financial analysis teams.
  • Professional accounting certification such as ACA or ACCA is strictly required.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Sage 300 or comparable enterprise finance systems.
  • Advanced computer skills with exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Proven expertise in handling complex accounts payable issues and financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
