About the Role

The DEW Centre is looking for a dedicated and meticulous Finance & Accounts Officer to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of the organization by managing daily accounting operations, handling receivables and payables, and ensuring accurate record-keeping across all projects. Key Responsibilities
  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions including receipts, payments, expenses, and invoices.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, tracking due dates and following up on overdue payments.
  • Prepare timely client invoices in accordance with project milestones and management guidelines.
  • Perform regular bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations while identifying and reporting discrepancies.
  • Support month-end close processes and liaise with external accountants for tax and financial reporting.
  • Maintain an organized digital filing system for all financial documentation and approvals.
  • Prepare weekly summaries of financial obligations, cash flow, and matters requiring management attention.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally in a project-based environment.
  • Progress towards professional certifications such as ATS, ACA, or equivalent is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management abilities.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality regarding financial data.
