About the Role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited, a leading name in the Nigerian healthcare and pharmaceutical industry known for trusted brands like Vitaclox and Vitacillin, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Filter Technician. Operating from our ultra-modern pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Ikeja, Lagos, we are committed to delivering safe, high-quality, and affordable healthcare solutions to consumers across Nigeria. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our advanced filtration systems operate at peak efficiency, directly supporting our mission of maintaining world-class pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities- Install, inspect, maintain, and replace process filters, cartridge filters, membrane filters, and air filtration equipment.
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on all filtration systems and housing components.
- Monitor differential pressure and operating parameters to identify blocked, damaged, or inefficient filters.
- Conduct filter integrity testing and accurately document all test results in compliance with company protocols.
- Troubleshoot filtration system failures promptly to minimize downtime and prevent contamination risks.
- Support cleaning, sanitization, changeover, and validation activities in coordination with production and quality teams.
- Maintain comprehensive maintenance logs, equipment history records, and spare parts inventories.
- OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant hands-on maintenance experience in pharmaceutical, food, chemical, or water-treatment manufacturing environments.
- Practical knowledge of industrial filtration systems and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
- Ability to read P&IDs, technical drawings, equipment manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to workplace safety.
