About the Role
Jaza Energy is the last mile energy company dedicated to building solar energy charging stations and renting batteries in off-grid communities. To support our rapid expansion across Nigeria, we are seeking a talented and driven Field Service Engineer (Solar Energy) to join our growing team in Osun. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in managing technical operations, maximizing system performance, and swiftly resolving issues at the regional level to guarantee uninterrupted power availability at our hubs.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure maximum energy uptime and power availability at sites by monitoring systems and quickly diagnosing and solving technical issues.
- Support the setup of new hubs, establish connectivity, and perform routine maintenance both on-site and remotely.
- Oversee the professional installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, and associated equipment.
- Collaborate closely with local teams and data analysts to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Document all field activities accurately and maintain comprehensive inventory records for hub equipment and product components.
- Prepare regular reports on hub health and technical performance for submission to the Regional Service Engineer.
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, backed by demonstrable hands-on experience.
- 2 to 3 years of practical engineering experience within the renewable energy, telecommunications, or power sector.
- Strong expertise in solar design, solar installation, solar inverter maintenance, electrical installation, and electrical design.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and HSE compliance during all field operations.
- Proficiency in using MS Office suite, Google Workspace, and data analysis reporting tools.
- Ability to travel significantly within Nigeria and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
