About the Role
Jaza Energy, a leading last-mile energy company building solar charging stations and renting batteries in off-grid communities, is expanding its operations in Nigeria. We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Field Service Engineer to ensure uninterrupted power availability, optimize system performance, and drive technical excellence across our regional hubs.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor system performance to ensure maximum energy uptime and power availability at all assigned sites.
- Support the setup of new solar hubs, manage connectivity, and perform routine maintenance both on-site and remotely.
- Oversee the installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, and associated energy equipment.
- Collaborate closely with local teams and data analysts to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges swiftly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of hub equipment and product components while documenting all field activities.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on hub health and technical issues for submission to the Regional Service Engineer.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, combined with strong hands-on experience.
- 2 to 3 years of practical engineering experience within the renewable energy, telecommunications, or power sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in solar design, installation, inverter maintenance, and electrical wiring.
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards in all field operations.
- Proficiency in using MS Office suite, Google Workspace, and data reporting software.
- Ability to travel significantly within Nigeria, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
