About the Role
Jaza Energy, a pioneering last-mile energy company building solar charging stations and renting batteries in off-grid communities, is looking for a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our expanding team in Kaduna. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in managing technical operations, ensuring robust system performance, and swiftly resolving field issues to guarantee uninterrupted power availability at our hubs.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor energy systems and rapidly diagnose and resolve technical issues to ensure maximum uptime at sites.
- Support the setup of new hubs, establish connectivity, and perform routine maintenance both on-site and remotely.
- Oversee the professional installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, and associated equipment.
- Collaborate closely with local teams and data analysts to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of hub equipment and document all daily field activities.
- Prepare regular technical health reports and submit them to the Regional Service Engineer.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, combined with proven hands-on experience.
- 2 to 3 years of technical and engineering experience within the renewable energy, telecommunications, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in solar design, solar installation, solar inverter maintenance, electrical installation, and electrical design.
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, Google products, and data analysis tools.
- Ability to travel frequently within Nigeria, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
