About the Role
Jaza Energy, a pioneering last-mile energy company building solar charging stations and battery rentals in off-grid communities, is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our expanding team in Delta, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will oversee regional technical operations, guarantee uninterrupted power at our sites, and drive continuous improvement through proactive troubleshooting and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure maximum energy uptime and power availability through real-time system monitoring and rapid issue resolution.
- Support the deployment of new hubs, manage connectivity, and perform routine maintenance on solar and electrical systems.
- Oversee the precise installation and configuration of solar panels, inverters, and associated electrical wiring.
- Collaborate closely with local teams and data analysts to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of hub equipment and document all field service activities.
- Prepare regular reports on hub health and technical performance for the Regional Service Engineer.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on engineering experience within the renewable energy, telecommunications, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in solar design, solar installation, solar inverter maintenance, and electrical design.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a strict commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, MS Office, and Google Workspace applications.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Nigeria and a deep passion for expanding clean energy access.
