About the Role
Jaza Energy is a pioneering last-mile energy company building solar energy charging stations and renting batteries in off-grid communities. To support our rapid expansion across Nigeria, we are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer (FSE) based in Umuahia, Abia State. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in managing technical operations, guaranteeing uninterrupted power at our sites, and swiftly resolving regional technical issues. Key Responsibilities- Ensure energy uptime and power availability by monitoring systems and quickly diagnosing and solving technical issues.
- Support the setup of new hubs, establish connectivity, and perform routine hub energy system maintenance both remotely and on-site.
- Oversee the installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, and associated equipment.
- Collaborate with local teams and data analysts to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Document field activities, maintain accurate equipment inventory records, and prepare regular reports on hub health for management.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on technical and engineering experience within the renewable energy, telecommunications, or related sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in solar design, solar installation, solar inverter maintenance, and electrical design and installation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strict commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, Google products, and data analysis tools.
- Ability to travel significantly within Nigeria and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
