About the Role
Jaza Energy, the leading last-mile energy company building solar charging stations and renting batteries in off-grid communities, is expanding its operations in Nigeria. To support this rapid growth, we are looking for a talented Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team in Anambra. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in managing regional technical operations, maintaining robust solar infrastructure, and swiftly resolving system issues to guarantee uninterrupted power availability at our hubs.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure maximum energy uptime and power availability by monitoring systems and rapidly diagnosing and solving technical challenges.
- Support the setup of new hubs, establish connectivity, and perform routine maintenance both on-site and remotely.
- Oversee the installation and configuration of solar panels, electrical wiring, and associated energy equipment.
- Collaborate closely with local teams and data analysts to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive continuous operational improvements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of hub equipment and product components.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on hub health and technical performance to the Regional Service Engineer.
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, backed by strong hands-on practical experience.
- 2 to 3 years of engineering experience within the renewable energy, telecommunications, or related sectors.
- Deep understanding of solar design, solar installation, solar inverter maintenance, and electrical wiring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strict commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
- Proficiency in using data analysis and reporting tools, including the MS Office suite and Google Workspace.
- High level of adaptability, willingness to travel extensively within Nigeria, and a genuine passion for expanding clean energy access.
