About the Role
Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited (HEOSL) is currently recruiting a dynamic and safety-conscious Field Operator for a Compressor Station (Manpower Contract) based in the Niger Delta. Operating the flagship OML 30 asset, we focus on sustainable energy exploration and value creation for all stakeholders. Key Responsibilities- Monitor operational parameters in the field and perform routine logging in respective log-sheets.
- Closely monitor GDM for lift gas injection optimization and handle system startups and shutdowns as required.
- Communicate effectively with the control room regarding operational parameters during regular operations, startups, and shutdowns.
- Top up oil and cooling systems, and monitor online chemical injection systems where applicable.
- Provide comprehensive shift-handover information to incoming teams to maintain and improve plant performance.
- Perform scheduled daily, monthly, and quarterly checks and maintenance activities.
- Immediately report abnormalities to the Control Room Supervisor, Operations Team Lead, and relevant maintenance personnel.
- Apply Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) protocols to condition systems safely before maintenance and ensure proper area housekeeping post-work.
- Identify, report, and actively correct unsafe conditions to maintain optimal safety, order, and cleanliness.
- B.Sc or HND diploma in a science or engineering discipline.
- Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- Basic practical understanding of maintenance and operational requirements for oil and gas equipment.
- Familiarity with oil and gas terminology, static equipment, and rotating machinery.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in report writing.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and learning skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
