About the Role
Baker Hughes is a leading global energy technology company operating in over 90 countries. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Operator - Coiled Tubing to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this critical wellsite role, you will be responsible for safely operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting coiled tubing equipment to drive successful well intervention and production enhancement activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct all wellsite and shop activities in strict compliance with company safety policies, non-negotiables, and environmental procedures.
- Perform rig-up and rig-down operations, monitor equipment performance, and maintain comprehensive working knowledge of the Permit to Work system.
- Assist in the preparation of thorough risk assessments and operational reports for both onshore and offshore deployments.
- Adhere strictly to quality and operational procedures outlined in company manuals and participate actively in client QHSE meetings.
- Provide guidance and support to junior crew members to foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Minimum of a High School diploma, vocational equivalent, or higher education qualification.
- At least 3 years of proven hands-on experience as a Coiled Tubing Field Operator within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated capability in troubleshooting and maintaining specialized oilfield equipment.
- Comprehensive understanding of basic oil and gas industry operations, safety standards, and wellsite protocols.
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
