About the Role
Powergas Nigeria, a subsidiary of Powergas Africa, is Africa's leading compressed natural gas (CNG) distributor and pioneer in off-pipeline gas distribution. We provide CNG solutions to clients across Nigeria where piped natural gas infrastructure is unavailable. With five operational CNG plants boasting a combined production capacity exceeding 720,000 scm per day, we are currently developing one of West Africa's most advanced CNG facilities.
As a Field Operator, you will be instrumental in maintaining our operational excellence and safety standards across our distribution network.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor CNG plant equipment and systems with precision and attention to detail
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance checks on all assigned equipment
- Identify, document, and report operational abnormalities and deviations promptly
- Support safe loading operations and maintain secure facility operations
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive operational records and logs
- Ensure full compliance with approved operating procedures and HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) standards
- Respond to operational issues and assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions
- Technical qualification or certification in plant operations, mechanical engineering, or related field
- Proven experience operating industrial equipment or CNG/gas distribution systems
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and HSSE compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities
- Physical fitness for fieldwork and shift-based operations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
