About the Role
New Incentives - All Babies Are Equal (NI-ABAE) is seeking dedicated and community-rooted Field Officers to expand our life-saving health programs in Zamfara State. In partnership with the State Primary Healthcare Development Board, our initiative uses conditional cash transfers to motivate mothers to complete their infants' vital immunization schedules. As a Field Officer, you will work directly at public health clinics, playing a frontline role in safeguarding child health, promoting vaccine awareness, and ensuring program integrity within your designated local government area.
Key Responsibilities- Enroll eligible infant beneficiaries securely using strict criteria and maintain accurate enrollment logs.
- Coach caregivers on immunization schedules, clinic return dates, and the health benefits of routine vaccinations.
- Verify vaccinations, monitor health cards, track supply shortages, and report clinic-level issues promptly.
- Engage with local stakeholders, including community leaders, Imams, and clinic staff, to address barriers to vaccination.
- Follow all organizational security protocols, conduct daily safety checks, and report local security incidents.
- Minimum qualification of SSCE, Diploma, CHEW (Community Health Extension Worker), or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience, with prior NGO experience considered an advantage.
- Fluent in written and verbal Hausa and relevant local dialects.
- Must be an indigene of the target LGA and currently reside in the operational ward.
- Proficient in smartphone usage, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and basic data collection.
