About the Role
New Incentives - All Babies Are Equal (NI-ABAE) is seeking dedicated and community-rooted individuals for the position of Field Officers in Kaduna. As a US-based nonprofit implementing health-related cash transfer programs, we aim to prevent child mortality across northern Nigeria by encouraging mothers to complete essential infant immunization schedules in partnership with state health boards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage conditional cash transfer disbursements, enroll eligible beneficiaries securely, and track infant vaccinations at public health clinics.
- Deliver vital health education to caregivers, coach them on immunization schedules, and actively prevent program fraud.
- Conduct community outreach, address vaccination barriers, engage with local stakeholders, and track defaulters.
- Monitor local clinic supply chains, report shortages, and respond promptly to operational or security incidents.
- Adhere strictly to organizational security protocols, maintain daily communications with local leaders, and submit detailed field reports.
- Minimum educational qualification of SSCE, Diploma, CHEW (Community Health Extension Worker), or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience, with prior NGO experience considered an advantage.
- Fluent in written and spoken Hausa, along with relevant local dialects.
- Must be an indigene of the target Local Government Area (LGA) and currently reside in the operational ward.
- Basic technical literacy, including proficiency with smartphones, internet browsers, and Microsoft Office tools.
