About the Role
New Incentives - All Babies Are Equal (NI-ABAE) is seeking dedicated and community-rooted Field Officers to expand our lifesaving health operations in Jigawa State. In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in preventing child mortality by encouraging mothers to complete critical infant immunization schedules through conditional cash transfers.
Key Responsibilities- Enroll eligible pregnant women and infants at public healthcare clinics using strict program criteria.
- Manage cash disbursements safely, submit detailed logs, and prevent fraudulent activities.
- Educate caregivers on immunization schedules, benefits, and potential vaccine side effects.
- Track vaccine supplies, monitor clinic stock levels, and report shortages daily.
- Conduct community outreach, engage local stakeholders, and track defaulters to understand missed appointments.
- Maintain daily security protocols, conduct local risk checks, and report incidents promptly.
- Minimum qualification of SSCE, Diploma, CHEW (Community Health Extension Worker), or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience, with prior NGO experience considered an advantage.
- Fluent in Hausa and relevant local dialects, both written and spoken.
- Must be an indigene of the target LGA and currently reside in the operational ward.
- Proficient with smartphones, mobile internet, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
