About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitising Africa's real economy by building a robust financial ecosystem for businesses, providing them with all the payment, banking, credit, and business management tools they need to succeed. We are currently looking for a results-driven Field Loan Collections Officer to join our dynamic team in Zamfara. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial health by conducting on-site engagements with defaulting borrowers to secure loan repayments within agreed timelines, while upholding our high standards of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Handle assigned recovery cases through proactive on-site visits to defaulting borrowers at their physical business or residential locations.
- Engage and negotiate effectively with customers to facilitate prompt loan repayments in alignment with contractual agreements.
- Execute asset and collateral recovery procedures responsibly, ensuring adherence to approved company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily activity reports, escalating complex or contentious cases to management as required.
- Maintain utmost professionalism and ethical standards during all customer interactions across the Zamfara coverage area.
- Proven professional experience in field debt recovery, loan collections, or credit risk management within the financial services sector.
- Strong working knowledge of negotiation strategies, field recovery techniques, and loan default resolution processes.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed aggressive recovery targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and local languages spoken in Zamfara.
