About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitizing Africa's real economy by building a comprehensive financial ecosystem for businesses. We are currently seeking a dynamic and resilient Field Loan Collections Officer to join our team in Kogi. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial health by conducting on-site engagements with defaulting borrowers, ensuring timely loan repayments, and executing professional debt recovery strategies in alignment with company policies and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct extensive fieldwork to visit defaulting borrowers at their physical business locations within Kogi and surrounding areas.
- Engage and negotiate with customers to establish realistic and binding repayment plans in accordance with loan agreements.
- Execute asset and collateral recovery processes for severe loan defaults following approved company guidelines and legal standards.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of all customer interactions, recovery progress, and payment commitments.
- Escalate complex dispute cases and high-risk accounts to management with comprehensive documentation.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and strict adherence to regulatory compliance during all field interactions.
- Proven track record of experience in field debt recovery, loan collections, or a closely related credit control role.
- Strong working knowledge of effective field negotiation techniques, conflict resolution, and the loan default management lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed aggressive recovery targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English and Nigerian Pidgin.
