We are currently looking for a skilled Field Engineer - Electrical to join our technical team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for electrical maintenance, fault repairs, installations, and commissioning of diesel and gas generator systems. Key Responsibilities- Carry out preventive and corrective electrical maintenance across the generator fleet to maximise uptime.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on control panels, AVRs, alternators, ATS/AMF, protection relays, and battery systems.
- Install and terminate generator control panels, cabling, distribution boards, and changeover systems on project sites.
- Commission generators by setting up controllers, synchronisation, and load sharing, and performing load-bank testing.
- Work from electrical drawings and single-line diagrams while supporting proper handover documentation.
- Attend client sites under service contracts for scheduled servicing, breakdown response, and safety troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate service records, complete checklists, and provide professional advice to clients.
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant post-graduation experience working with diesel and gas generator electrical systems.
- COREN or NSE registration, or active progress towards obtaining it, is a distinct advantage.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a strong willingness to travel to various client sites as required.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and proven competence in interpreting complex electrical diagrams and single-line drawings.
