About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitizing Africa's real economy by building a robust financial ecosystem for businesses. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Field Credit Officer to join our team in the North West region. In this role, you will onboard and manage businesses accessing our credit products, ensuring portfolio profitability and maintaining healthy repayment rates.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and onboard viable businesses within your assigned geographical area to open and actively use Moniepoint business accounts.
- Review, analyze, and approve or decline loan requests by evaluating the 5Cs of credit, prioritizing capacity, character, and capital.
- Conduct physical visitations to potential borrowers to evaluate business books, inventory, and turnover.
- Meet gross loan portfolio and profitability targets while maintaining a low default rate through rigorous monitoring.
- Provide strategic recommendations to management before, during, and after loan disbursement.
- Minimum of an OND in any business-related discipline.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in credit sales within a financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk analysis and financial evaluation.
- Must be resident in approved North West locations including Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Plateau, or Zamfara.
