About the Role
Moniepoint Inc. is a leading financial technology company digitizing Africa's real economy by building a comprehensive financial ecosystem for businesses. We are currently looking for a dynamic Field Credit Officer to join our team in the North Central region of Nigeria. In this role, you will be instrumental in onboarding viable businesses, evaluating credit risk, and driving portfolio profitability while ensuring healthy repayment rates across various local markets.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, engage, and onboard viable businesses within assigned geographical areas to open and actively use Moniepoint business accounts.
- Review, analyze, and approve or decline loan applications by evaluating the 5Cs of credit, with a strong focus on capacity, character, and capital.
- Conduct physical visitations to potential and active borrowers' business locations to assess books, inventory, and turnover.
- Monitor active loan portfolios to ensure ongoing account utilization, minimize default rates, and maintain a healthy, profitable portfolio.
- Provide strategic recommendations to management regarding credit disbursement based on thorough economic and financial analysis.
- Minimum of an OND in a business-related discipline.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in credit product sales within a financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk analysis and financial evaluation.
- Must reside within one of our target locations in Benue, FCT Abuja, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, or Plateau states.
