About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitizing Africa's real economy by building a robust financial ecosystem for businesses. We provide payment, banking, credit, and business management tools to help enterprises succeed. We are currently looking for a results-driven Field Credit Officer to join our dynamic team in Lagos, playing a crucial role in expanding our credit portfolio while maintaining asset quality and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and onboard viable businesses within assigned Lagos locations to open and actively use Moniepoint business accounts.
- Conduct rigorous physical visits to potential borrowers' business premises to evaluate operations, review books, and assess inventory and turnover.
- Analyze credit applications using the 5Cs of credit, with a strong focus on capacity, character, and capital to approve or decline loan requests.
- Monitor the active loan portfolio continuously, ensuring high repayment performance and minimizing default rates.
- Meet and exceed gross loan portfolio and portfolio profit targets consistently while maintaining a healthy customer base.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in any business-related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a credit sales role within a financial institution.
- Demonstrable knowledge of credit risk analysis and financial evaluation techniques.
- Must be currently resident in Lagos State, covering areas such as Ikeja, Ikorodu, Alimosho, Surulere, and Lagos Island.
