About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitizing Africa's real economy by building an all-in-one financial ecosystem for businesses. We provide payment, banking, credit, and business management tools designed to help enterprises succeed. As a Field Credit Officer in Edo, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our credit products, onboarding viable businesses, and driving portfolio profitability while ensuring healthy repayment rates across your assigned region.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and onboard viable businesses within Ovia, Edo North, Edo Central, and Edo South to open and actively use Moniepoint accounts.
- Conduct physical site visits to potential borrowers' business locations to evaluate operations, review books, and assess inventory and turnover.
- Analyze credit applications thoroughly using the 5Cs of credit, prioritizing capacity, character, and capital to make informed approval or decline recommendations.
- Monitor active loan portfolios to ensure continued account usage, proper loan performance, and minimal default rates.
- Meet and exceed gross loan portfolio targets and profitability goals while maintaining a healthy customer base.
- Minimum of an OND in a business-related discipline.
- At least 2 years of proven sales experience dealing with credit products within a financial institution.
- Demonstrable knowledge and practical experience in credit risk and financial analysis.
- Must be currently resident in Ovia, Edo North, Edo Central, or Edo South.
