About the Role

Action Against Hunger | ACF Nigeria LTD/GTE is a global humanitarian organization committed to ending world hunger. We are currently recruiting an experienced Field Coordinator based in Maiduguri to provide strategic leadership, program delivery, operational support functions, security management, government engagement, and partnership development, ensuring sustainable and impactful humanitarian interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop ACF programming, ensuring integrated humanitarian recovery strategies aligned with country goals and effective Project Cycle Management (PCM).
  • Lead, motivate, and supervise multidisciplinary field teams while promoting the Action Against Hunger Charter and organizational values.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all ACF personnel, assets, and premises under the guidance of the Area Coordinator and Security Head of Department.
  • Oversee overall field office accountability for Finance, Human Resources, and Logistics, ensuring strict compliance with donor regulations and national labor laws.
  • Represent ACF externally at the state level, actively participating in sector coordination mechanisms and fostering local partnerships.
  • Oversee accurate reporting, capitalization of project data, and implementation of internal and external audit recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, International Development, Humanitarian Response, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with international NGOs in complex or insecure operational contexts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in team leadership, multicultural staff management, and conflict mitigation.
  • Strong capabilities in security management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic humanitarian negotiation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with proven proficiency in donor reporting and proposal writing.
