We are currently looking for a proactive Field Anti-Fraud Officer to support our growing SME business in identifying, investigating, and preventing fraudulent activities arising from field sales and merchant operations across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate suspected fraud involving Business Developers (BDs), agents, merchants, and other field-facing personnel.
- Conduct physical field visits to verify merchant businesses, physical locations, transaction histories, and reported activities.
- Investigate allegations of BDs or agents defrauding, misleading, or taking advantage of registered merchants.
- Identify inconsistencies, suspicious transaction patterns, and potential gaps in field processes that may facilitate financial fraud.
- Collaborate with internal compliance and risk teams to recommend preventive measures and mitigate potential financial losses.
- 1-2 years of proven experience in fraud investigation, field verification, loan operations, credit, collections, or field operations.
- Mandatory working experience within the fintech, digital lending, commercial banking, or broader financial services industry.
- Must currently reside in either Lagos or Ogun state for seamless field deployments.
- Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to conduct professional interviews and investigative calls with merchants and field agents.
