About the Role
Victoria Waterfront Hotel & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Fiber Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic technology team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the seamless, high-speed digital infrastructure that powers our luxury hospitality experience for guests and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities- Perform precision fusion splicing, mechanical splicing, and fiber termination on singlemode and multimode cables.
- Conduct end-to-end optical testing using OTDR, LSPM, and VFL to ensure compliance with SLA thresholds.
- Respond promptly to fiber cuts, degradation, and network outages as part of on-call emergency rotations.
- Ensure all installations comply with international fiber standards and local safety guidelines.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic installation, maintenance, and emergency restoration.
- Hold an NCE, OND, BSc, or HND in a relevant engineering or technical field.
- Strong proficiency in operating fusion splicers, cleavers, and advanced testing equipment.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced field environments.
