About the Role
Ngcom Network Solutions Ltd is one of the leading Internet Service Providers in Nigeria, delivering reliable and unlimited internet connectivity to residential and corporate clients across Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, and Warri. We are currently seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Fiber Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in expanding, maintaining, and troubleshooting our robust fiber-optic infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity for our growing customer base.
Key Responsibilities- Perform fiber-optic cable installation, routing, and termination across various residential and commercial sites.
- Conduct precise fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting to resolve network faults promptly.
- Utilize advanced testing equipment such as OTDR and optical power meters to diagnose and repair line issues.
- Respond swiftly to network emergencies and faults, working effectively under pressure to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with field teams and provide accurate technical reports on maintenance and installation activities.
- Ensure adherence to industry safety standards during all on-site operations and installations.
- Minimum of OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous hands-on experience in fiber-optic installation, maintenance, and network troubleshooting.
- Proficient in handling fiber-testing tools including OTDR and optical power meters.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal abilities.
