Preston International School is seeking a hardworking and reliable Farm Worker to support the day-to-day operations of our school farm and agricultural projects. Key Responsibilities- Prepare land, plant seeds, water crops, and perform routine weeding to ensure healthy growth.
- Apply approved fertilisers and monitor crops for signs of pests or diseases, reporting any issues promptly.
- Harvest crops efficiently and assist with the general care and management of farm produce.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised farm areas and storage facilities.
- Operate and maintain basic farming and agricultural equipment safely and correctly.
- Assist with general livestock or poultry care as required by the school's agricultural projects.
- Practical knowledge or experience in farming, gardening, poultry production, or a related agricultural field.
- Physical fitness and the ability to carry out demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Understanding of basic plant care, crop cultivation, and safety procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully, work independently, and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Demonstrated qualities of honesty, diligence, attention to detail, and respect for school policies.
- Relevant vocational training or previous experience in a similar role will be an added advantage.
