About the Role
Sochi Foods Limited is a dynamic FMCG company specializing in the production of premium-quality garri brands and valuable cassava-based industrial and culinary byproducts. Established in Ahiazu-Mbaise in the heart of Eastern Nigeria, our mission is to deliver world-class products that consistently meet the highest consumer standards. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Farm Veterinarian to join our growing agricultural operations on a full-time, on-site basis in Mbaise, Imo State.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the overall health, welfare, and daily care of farm livestock, with a strong focus on goat health management.
- Perform routine check-ups, accurately diagnose illnesses, and administer effective treatments.
- Oversee and execute comprehensive vaccination programs and disease prevention strategies.
- Manage livestock breeding programs and provide expert nutritional advice to optimize herd productivity.
- Ensure strict compliance with farm biosecurity protocols and regulatory health standards.
- Develop and implement robust disease prevention measures across the facility.
- Train farm personnel on best practices in animal care, biosecurity, and sanitation.
- A degree in Veterinary Medicine from a recognized institution with a valid veterinary practicing license.
- Proven professional experience in livestock health management, specifically with goats, including disease diagnosis and treatment.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing breeding programs and formulating nutritional plans.
- Strong working knowledge of agricultural regulatory health standards and biosecurity practices.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
