About the Role
Sweet Nation Foods, makers of World of Popcorn and Treats, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our growing agricultural team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in our mission to enrich lives by ensuring the efficient and successful cultivation of our crops. You will be responsible for overseeing daily field activities, managing farm personnel, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity on the farm.
Key Responsibilities- Assign daily tasks to farm workers and supervise field operations to ensure work is completed correctly, safely, and on schedule.
- Take daily attendance, monitor workforce punctuality, and enforce company discipline.
- Direct and supervise all stages of crop production, including planting, crop care, irrigation management, and harvesting activities.
- Monitor overall crop health regularly and promptly report any signs of pests, diseases, or crop damage to management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of farm inputs, tools, equipment, and harvested produce.
- Inspect farm guard posts and report any security incidents or vulnerabilities immediately.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive daily and weekly operational reports to the Farm Manager.
- Possession of an OND, HND, or Diploma in Agriculture or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of practical farming experience, with at least 1 year serving in a supervisory role.
- Strong practical knowledge of modern crop farming techniques and the proper use of farm tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team, maintain discipline, and keep accurate basic records.
- Fluency in both English and Hausa languages is strictly required for effective communication with workers.
- Physically fit, robust, and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
