About the Role
PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, a leading multinational consumer goods manufacturer of beloved household brands such as Imperial Leather, Cussons Baby, Morning Fresh, Thermocool, and Robb, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Factory Technician to join our dynamic operations team. In this vital role, you will ensure uninterrupted manufacturing processes by maintaining high standards of electrical power supply and distribution across our facility.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and perform routine maintenance on gas and diesel generators to guarantee a reliable production electrical power supply.
- Manage the operation and upkeep of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical switchboards safely and efficiently.
- Maintain factory LV transformers in optimal working condition to prevent downtime and support continuous manufacturing operations.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults promptly and implement preventive maintenance schedules in compliance with industry safety standards.
- Collaborate with the broader engineering and maintenance teams to enhance plant reliability and energy efficiency.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven hands-on experience in operating and maintaining industrial gas and diesel generators, MV/LV switchboards, and LV transformers.
- Strong understanding of factory electrical safety protocols, hazard identification, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.
- Good communication skills and readiness to work in shifts as required by production demands.
