About the Role
PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc is part of a renowned multinational consumer goods business manufacturing some of the best-loved brands across Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. We are currently looking for a dedicated and results-driven Factory Technician to join our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Nigeria and contribute to our tradition of excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct scheduled Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Lubrication, Lubricants, and Fluids (LLF) tasks, ensuring accurate documentation in plant registers.
- Promptly diagnose and carry out breakdown maintenance during production activities to minimize downtime.
- Perform scheduled calibrations and safety inspection checks across the plant to maintain a secure and compliant working environment.
- Maintain thorough log registers and communicate shift activities, pending tasks, and critical observations effectively to incoming relievers.
- Initiate purchase requisitions for consumed or required spare parts to prevent any operational stoppages.
- Ensure 100% compliance with work order and work permit protocols while adhering strictly to factory safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement by spotting operational inefficiencies quickly and executing corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on work experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access databases.
- Strong technical aptitude with excellent problem-solving and numerical capabilities.
