About the Role
Baker Hughes is seeking a dynamic and experienced Oilfield Drilling & Completions Project Manager to join our integrated solutions team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will partner with the best minds in the energy sector to lead the safe and successful delivery of complex well construction, completions, intervention, and related projects. Acting as the primary customer interface, you will coordinate multidisciplinary product lines and service teams to drive operational excellence, financial performance, and long-term customer satisfaction across our Nigerian operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of integrated energy projects across multiple product lines and internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring all contractual commitments and key performance indicators are achieved.
- Drive project performance through proactive risk management, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage comprehensive project financial performance, including revenue tracking, cost control, profitability, and cash flow optimization.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver project objectives safely, efficiently, and in alignment with strict timelines.
- Oversee project schedules, resource planning, operational readiness reviews, and robust contingency plans.
- Promote uncompromising Baker Hughes Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and ensure strict compliance with company and client requirements.
- Lead project reviews, performance reporting, post-job lessons learned, and business improvement initiatives.
- Support strategic business growth by partnering closely with commercial and sales teams on tenders and client proposals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent extensive industry experience.
- Substantial downstream and upstream energy industry experience, focusing on well construction, completions, intervention, P&A, or related operations.
- Proven extensive project management experience delivering complex operational projects within the oil and gas sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of drilling and completions activities with a track record of safe operations.
- Demonstrated experience in managing project financial performance, budgeting, and commercial risk.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and cross-cultural influencing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Microsoft Project experience is highly advantageous.
- Possession of a PMP or equivalent professional project management certification is preferred.
- Valid Well Control awareness or formal certification is considered a strong advantage.
