About the Role
Pinefield Schools is a prestigious, family-oriented Christian co-educational institution located on a serene 1.8-hectare campus in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. To maintain our high standards of infrastructure and operational readiness, we are seeking a proactive and skilled Facility Manager to lead our facilities and maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide overall leadership and supervision for school facilities, maintenance operations, and utility systems.
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance plans for buildings, equipment, and grounds.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and infrastructure risks for timely resolution.
- Supervise internal maintenance personnel, janitorial staff, technicians, and external contractors.
- Manage vendor relationships, monitor service quality, and ensure cost-effective project execution.
- Oversee critical utilities including power supply, water systems, and emergency backup generators.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across the school premises.
- Collaborate with management on facility budgets, resource allocation, and cost-control initiatives.
- Bachelor's Degree (Minimum 2:1) in Facilities Management, Estate Management, Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in facilities or property management within a structured organization, school, or hospitality environment.
- Strong expertise in managing preventive maintenance programs and technical service teams.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and vendor negotiation skills.
- Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
