About the Role
Geoplex Drillteq Limited is the fastest-growing indigenous oilfield service company in Nigeria, providing high-quality upstream solutions across West Africa. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Facility Electrician to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure across our offices, bases, workshops, and operational facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Install, terminate, inspect, test, commission, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, lighting systems, distribution boards, switchgear, transformers, generators, motors, and control panels in line with approved standards.
- Execute routine preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on single-phase and three-phase power systems, earthing and bonding networks, and UPS/inverter systems.
- Diagnose electrical faults and malfunctions rapidly using multimeters, insulation testers, and circuit analyzers to implement timely corrective actions.
- Identify and report electrical hazards, near misses, and safety risks while actively supporting emergency electrical isolation and restoration activities.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, test results, job cards, spare parts consumption, and updated electrical schematics.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical installation, facility maintenance, and industrial electrical troubleshooting.
- Possession of a Trade Test, Technical Certificate, NABTEB, City & Guilds, OND, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Prior experience working within the oil and gas, energy, manufacturing, or heavy industrial sector is a distinct advantage.
