About the Role
International Facilities Services Limited (IFS) is an international facilities management company operating global standards across Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and the Middle East. We deliver cost-effective, sustainable, and bespoke soft and hard facility solutions to a wide range of clients. We are currently seeking a dedicated and hygiene-conscious Facility Cleaner to join our dynamic team and help maintain spotless, safe environments across our client locations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out daily cleaning of floors, surfaces, fixtures, glass, and furniture across assigned zones including offices, public areas, and corridors.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms and washroom facilities to a high hygiene standard while restocking necessary consumables.
- Empty and manage waste bins and trolleys following correct waste segregation and disposal procedures.
- Use manual cleaning tools correctly and adhere strictly to colour-coding and cross-contamination protocols.
- Operate light cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor driers to support larger cleaning tasks.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely, following product labels and established site safety procedures.
- Report maintenance defects, spillages, hazards, or equipment faults promptly to the supervisor.
- Use correct signage during and after cleaning operations to ensure optimal public safety.
- Minimum basic education (primary or secondary); relevant hygiene training is an advantage.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a commercial, institutional, or hospitality cleaning role is preferred.
- Basic literacy sufficient to follow cleaning schedules, safety signage, and chemical labels.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, including bending and lifting.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team in a live, public-facing environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as scheduled.
