About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a premier provider of outsourcing, technical staffing, and consultancy services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Taxation Analyst to join our finance team and ensure full compliance with national and state tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic advisory support on contracts and transactions with indirect tax implications across company entities.
- Design and update the indirect tax matrix in alignment with new fiscal developments to minimize exposure to liability.
- Review tax clauses in contracts and collaborate with the Contracts Department to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
- Coordinate periodic external audits with regulatory bodies such as NEITI, NRS, SIRS, and NDDC.
- Supervise the preparation and timely filing of monthly and annual VAT and WHT returns to relevant tax authorities.
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, acting as the company's fiscal agent for documentation and remittances.
- Guide HR on the accurate computation and statutory deadlines for staff income taxes.
- Coordinate vendor relationships regarding tax-related obligations, including WHT credit notes and Tax Clearance Certificates (TCC).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of post-graduation experience in tax and accounting functions within a structured environment.
- Professional accounting certification such as ICAN or ACCA is mandatory.
- Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of Nigerian federal and state tax laws, tax treaties, and multilateral agreements.
- Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in English with C2 level communication skills.
