About the Role
Nutri K Limited is dedicated to the fight against malnutrition in Nigeria, specializing in the manufacturing of specialized nutritional foods for children. To strengthen our growing operations in Kano, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Extrusion Supervisor to join our dynamic Production Department and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily extrusion operations, ensuring production schedules and targets are achieved with minimal waste and downtime.
- Operate, monitor, and adjust extrusion parameters including moisture, temperature, and screw configuration to maintain high product specifications.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, ISO standards, and occupational health and safety protocols.
- Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to achieve a minimum of 85% efficiency across all extrusion lines.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance for routine sampling, testing, and investigating non-conforming products.
- Manage, train, and mentor extrusion operators and assistants to foster a culture of safety and high performance.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and sanitation of extrusion equipment with the Maintenance Department.
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Food Engineering, Food Science and Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience in grain processing, cereal production, or food extrusion.
- Strong technical expertise in operating single-screw or twin-screw extrusion systems and adjusting dies, screws, and feeders.
- Proficiency in HACCP, quality control, data analysis, report writing, and ERP systems.
- Excellent computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with fluency in English.
