About the Role
NutriK FZE, a subsidiary of the globally recognized Nutriset Group, plays a vital role in producing high-quality ready-to-use foods to prevent malnutrition across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Extrusion & Packing Process Operator to join our dynamic production team and help us save lives.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Extrusion & Packing Process Operator, you will be responsible for the seamless operation of our grain extrusion, drying, cooling, and grinding equipment.
- Operate and monitor the grain extrusion line in compliance with approved standard operating procedures.
- Adjust dryer temperatures, airflow, moisture targets, and screw speeds to meet product specifications.
- Perform regular quality checks including moisture, density, temperature, and particle size inspections.
- Ensure strict adherence to ISO and HACCP food safety guidelines at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, dust-free workstation while strictly utilizing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate closely with the Extrusion Controller and support packing staff to prevent operational bottlenecks.
- Provide comprehensive shift handovers and promptly escalate any mechanical, electrical, or quality deviations.
- Minimum of an OND in Mechanical, Industrial, or Food Processing Technology, or an equivalent technical qualification.
- 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience operating food processing or extrusion equipment.
- Familiarity with HMI operating systems and basic troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in computer tools including MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
