About the Role
Rainbow Educational Services Limited (RESL), a leading education management company operating esteemed K-12 institutions including Pampers Private School and Rainbow College, is seeking a talented and creative Expressive Arts and Design Teacher. In this role, you will nurture students' artistic talents, foster critical thinking, and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for arts and culture within a vibrant learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging lessons on art, design, and art history aligned with established learning objectives.
- Prepare the classroom environment by gathering, organizing, and setting up necessary art equipment and materials.
- Develop and refine students' drawing, coloring, painting, and multidisciplinary art techniques.
- Assign, evaluate, and grade student projects, classwork, and examinations constructively.
- Monitor, record, and report accurately on individual student academic and creative progress.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized art studio and classroom after every lesson.
- Utilize modern educational technology, including interactive and smart boards, to enhance art instruction.
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts coupled with a recognized teaching qualification, or an equivalent credential.
- Demonstrated excellence and versatility in a wide variety of traditional and contemporary art techniques.
- Familiarity with 21st-century teaching methods, interactive smart boards, and digital learning tools.
- Outstanding lesson planning, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Supportive, patient, and flexible disposition suited for a dynamic school environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to supervise group work effectively.
- Current Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification will be an added advantage.
