About the Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified Christian Religious Studies (CRS) Teacher to join our dynamic secondary school teaching faculty. In this role, you will inspire students through dynamic teaching, guiding them to understand core biblical principles while mastering the NERDC curriculum to achieve exceptional results in their external examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, scripturally grounded CRS lessons for junior and senior secondary school students in line with the NERDC curriculum.
  • Prepare students thoroughly and effectively for WAEC and NECO CRS examinations with a strong track record of success.
  • Design, administer, and promptly grade assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support student growth.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lesson notes, attendance, and continuous assessment scores.
  • Monitor individual student progress, offering tailored academic guidance and compassionate pastoral support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop comprehensive schemes of work and departmental resources.
  • Uphold, promote, and model the faith-based values and positive ethos of De Mould Academy.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, school events, professional development workshops, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Foster a disciplined, respectful, and spiritually enriching classroom environment conducive to learning.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of NCE in Christian Religious Studies or Christian Religious Knowledge, or a Bachelor's degree (B.Ed. or B.A.) in Religious Studies or Christian Religious Education.
  • Mandatory NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate for degree holders.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven secondary school teaching experience delivering the CRS curriculum.
  • Strong working knowledge of WAEC and NECO examination standards and preparation strategies.
  • Possession of a PGDE or professional teaching certification is an added advantage.
  • Deep personal commitment to Christian faith, moral values, and effective communication.
