About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Experienced Recovery Officer to join our team in Nigeria to manage portfolio risk, recover classified loans, and ensure the financial health of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular reviews and field visits to clients with outstanding loan portfolios at risk.
  • Monitor and review all overdue and delinquent loan accounts on a daily basis.
  • Recover classified loans and negotiate viable workout plans with willing debtors.
  • Initiate legal and prosecution processes for hardcore debtors in alignment with company policy.
  • Liaise closely with various branches to proactively monitor and manage non-performing loans.
  • Prepare regular reports and strategic recommendations to safeguard company funds against bad debts.
  • Perform any other related tasks and responsibilities assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant discipline.
  • Mandatory completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program.
  • 1 to 3 years of proven loan recovery experience within a Microfinance Institution (MfB) or commercial bank.
  • Fluent in English as well as Hausa or Yoruba (both spoken and written).
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
  • High level of professional integrity, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
  • Result-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
