We are currently looking for a results-driven and dynamic Experienced Loan Officer to join our growing team in Nigeria and help us drive impactful financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Promote and market Baobab's core products to prospective clients within the region.
- Conduct thorough visits and evaluations of potential client businesses and personal residences.
- Perform comprehensive site visits to co-debtors' and guarantors' homes and businesses.
- Analyze financial, quantitative, and qualitative data from client businesses and households.
- Prepare comprehensive loan documents and present loan files to the credit committee.
- Enter and manage loan files accurately within the Management Information System (MIS).
- Conduct regular monitoring visits to businesses and households to ensure loan performance.
- Follow up proactively on loan repayments and manage loan recovery until full resolution.
- Assess the social and economic impact of loans prior to client renewals.
- Drive deposit mobilization efforts and execute other tasks assigned by the line supervisor.
- Minimum of a B.Sc or HND in a relevant discipline.
- Must have completed the mandatory NYSC program.
- Previous work experience or formal training in sales, preferably within a Microfinance Bank (MfB) or commercial bank.
- Basic knowledge of accounting, finance, and mathematics.
- Fluent in English with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, target-driven, articulate, and well-spoken.
