We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Housemaster to join our vibrant boarding community in Lagos. In this vital pastoral role, you will act as a mentor, guide, and caregiver, ensuring that our students thrive in a secure, supportive, and structured residential environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations and routines of the student boarding house, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and order.
- Provide comprehensive pastoral care, supporting the emotional, social, and psychological well-being of every student.
- Monitor student behavior, enforce school policies, and resolve conflicts fairly and constructively.
- Organize engaging evening and weekend recreational, academic, and social activities for boarding students.
- Maintain open and professional communication channels with parents, guardians, and academic staff regarding student progress and welfare.
- Supervise prep times, study sessions, and ensure that students adhere to designated lights-out and daily schedules.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and coordinate with the school health clinic for medical emergencies.
- Must possess a relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in education, guidance counseling, or a related field.
- Proven prior experience working as a Housemaster, Hostel Supervisor, or in a similar pastoral role within a reputable school environment.
- Must currently reside in Lagos State with reliable means of commuting to the school premises.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of emotional intelligence, patience, and a genuine passion for youth development.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
