About the Role
Teestone Hotels & Apartments is a modern boutique hotel located in the peaceful neighborhood of Ikeja, just 15 minutes from Murtala Muhammed International Airport. We are currently seeking a courteous, reliable, and professional Experienced Hotel Porter to join our dedicated hospitality team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for a memorable stay by providing top-tier customer service, handling luggage with care, and offering seamless assistance throughout their visit.
Key Responsibilities- Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure.
- Assist guests with carrying, transporting, and storing luggage efficiently.
- Escort guests to their rooms, ensuring they understand key hotel amenities and room features.
- Respond promptly, courteously, and efficiently to various guest requests and inquiries.
- Assist visitors with loading and unloading belongings from vehicles.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization in the lobby, entrance, and luggage storage areas.
- Deliver messages, packages, and special items to guest rooms securely.
- Provide accurate directions and information regarding local Lagos attractions and transportation.
- Collaborate closely with the front desk and other departments to support overall hotel operations.
- Ensure guest safety and security by strictly following established hospitality policies and procedures.
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent educational qualification.
- Proven previous experience working as a hotel porter or in customer service.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills in English.
- Friendly, approachable, and strongly customer-focused attitude.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy luggage.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- Good foundational knowledge of hotel operations and local guest service standards.
