Hospify House is a premier boutique hospitality venue and hotel located in the heart of Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. We pride ourselves on offering exceptional guest experiences, which begin in our kitchen. We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Experienced Cook to join our dynamic culinary team and help us elevate our dining offerings.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a wide variety of local and continental dishes to the highest quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations within the kitchen workspace.
- Collaborate with management to plan menus, manage food inventory, and minimize kitchen waste.
- Inspect raw ingredients for freshness and quality before food preparation begins.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cooking stations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Manage cooking times and food presentation to ensure timely and visually appealing service for guests.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven professional cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
- Relevant culinary certifications, vocational training, or food handling qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of local Nigerian cuisines as well as continental dishes.
- Exceptional hygiene standards and adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
