About the Role
eTranzact, Nigeria's premier multi-application and multi-channel electronic transaction switching and payment processing platform, is looking for a dynamic Switch Applications & Operations Engineer. In this role, you will be pivotal in maintaining the robust infrastructure that powers e-payment solutions across ATM, Internet, POS, and Mobile channels for banks and financial institutions globally.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and optimise the Core Switch and its interfaces, ensuring high availability, reliability, performance, and seamless transaction processing across HO and DR environments.
- Implement and support switching services including account-to-account transfers, card issuing, card acquiring, and other payment solutions across partner banks and merchants.
- Drive upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations across switch infrastructure, applications, architectures, and related services.
- Provide L2/L3 technical support and incident management, troubleshooting complex issues and serving as an escalation point for critical switching incidents.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in switch operations, payment technology, application support, or a similar fintech environment.
- Demonstrated experience providing L2/L3 application or technical support is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of electronic payment systems and transaction processing flows.
