About the Role

Key Responsibilities- Direct all culinary operations, overseeing meal preparation and production to maintain exceptional standards of quality, taste, and visual presentation.
- Partner with the Food and Beverage Director to design innovative menus featuring local Nigerian flavors and international culinary trends.
- Manage kitchen budgets, food cost controls, inventory forecasting, and financial reporting to achieve departmental profitability goals.
- Engage directly with hotel guests and VIP clients to assess dining satisfaction, gather feedback, and resolve any concerns swiftly.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate a high-performing kitchen team, fostering a culture of professional growth and teamwork.
- Maintain strict compliance with all local and international health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations across all kitchen areas.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of culinary experience, with at least 3 years in an Executive Chef role within a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant group.
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related professional certification.
- Proven expertise in kitchen financial management, menu engineering, food cost control, and supplier negotiations.
- In-depth knowledge of HACCP guidelines, food safety standards, and Nigerian public health regulations.
