About the Role
OPay Digital Services Limited is seeking a strategic and results-driven Events Manager to join our Integrated Marketing & Communications (IMC) team in Nigeria. In this role, you will own the events function, ensuring every activation delivers measurable brand and business value while advancing financial and social inclusion across the country.
Key Responsibilities- Link every external, business-led, and industry event to clear brand and business goals with defined KPIs.
- Plan and manage the yearly events budget, tracking ROI and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Manage end-to-end execution of OPay-hosted events, including logistics, guest lists, branding, and on-site management.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure high-impact speaking slots, sponsorships, and booth presences at major Nigerian tech, fintech, and SME expos.
- Collaborate with sales, PR, and creative teams to support integrated marketing campaigns and on-ground activations.
- Source, vet, and manage event agencies and vendors in alignment with company procurement policies.
- Deliver comprehensive post-event reports detailing ROI, attendee engagement, and actionable insights.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of professional marketing experience, with at least 3 years specializing in corporate or brand events.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale corporate events for 300+ guests and securing visibility at major industry conferences.
- Strong background in budget management, agency coordination, and vendor negotiations.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian fintech, banking, telecoms, or FMCG landscape is a strong advantage.
